Per-message fees.
Per-message pricing punishes you for being busy — and makes you hesitate before letting the AI follow up. A long conversation with an active customer costs exactly the same as a short one.
Per-seat surprises.
Every plan includes a generous user allowance — 5, 12, or 25 people working the same inbox. If you outgrow it, an extra user is a flat, published $29 a month. No plan forced on you to add the weekend staff.
Setup retainers.
You connect your channels and teach Cura your policies in plain language. If you want a custom AI agent built for you, that's a transparent, one-time $300–2,000 — scoped up front, never a recurring retainer.
A customer your business actually exchanged messages with that month — someone who wrote in, or someone Cura or your team wrote to. Contacts sitting quietly in your CRM don't count. If nobody talked to them this month, you don't pay for them.
